Komasan is an individual who exhibits childlike behavior and can easily be distinguished from someone living in a big city. He often ends his sentences with "zura" and uses the term "monge," which means tremendous when he's surprised or impressed, giving him traces of an Okayama dialect. Despite having limited knowledge about urban life, Komasan is referred to as a country bumpkin who tries to learn more in order to set a good example for his younger brother, Komajiro. Most of Komasan's time is spent exploring the city and searching for delicious food, particularly soft serve ice cream, as well as going on adventures with his brother.
