Ellis grew up as a dancer in Turkey under the guidance of traveling minstrels. Her parents had died in a car crash when she was an infant, but she learned about her father's rumored participation in the first Toshinden tournament. Intrigued, she entered the competition herself. However, she discovered that the tournament was held illegally by Gaia, a member of the Secret Society. Despite this revelation, Ellis felt no emotions towards Gaia and decided to enter the second tournament to save him from Uranus, another member of the Secret Society who had targeted Gaia for holding the first tournament illegally. After winning the tournament, Ellis was reunited with her father and helped destroy Uranus and the Secret Society. When the third Toshinden tournament was announced, she and Gaia learned they were being targeted by the Organization. They both entered the competition to bring down the organization. The relationship between Ellis and Gaia after the events of Toshinden 3 is uncertain, but it's possible that they reconciled their differences and re-established a father-daughter bond.
