In the game, you encounter a character named Meirin, who is a lively fox spirit with two tails. She aims to improve her status by getting close to the princess. After your entry into a new body, you meet Meirin, who was previously the owner of the body you took over. To make amends for unintentionally killing her previous host, she brings you to Fujihime, another form of Eve, who resides deep in the mountains. Although humans are cutting down the bamboo forest near her hut dangerously, Fujihime is friends with both Meirin and the mountain god, who is infatuated with her.
