Sara Cruz is an intelligent and well-liked student at the Grabera Spatial Armored Infantry Research Institute, where she excels in her studies. Despite losing her parents, she clings to the hope of reuniting with her beloved brother. However, when her friends, teachers, and Mimic are killed by none other than Ralph himself, Sara becomes withdrawn and bitter. She is reduced to piloting unremarkable Gambee units and appears to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. Despite her defeat and disgrace at the hands of her traitorous brother, Sara remains focused on finding out the truth. Her most prized possession is a musical pendant given to her by Ralph, which is stolen in episode 2 by Isabella. Afterward, she discovers that Emily allows her to pilot a Strain again and takes control of the Ink Strain Ram Dass. Sara considers Emily to be her last hope in finding out the truth and hopes that Ralph will revert to his kind and loving nature.
