Li jian-qiangs younger twin brother was named qian de. he served as head of the zheng dao hui while li jian-qiang spent time with his family. despite being unaware that there were two "master li"s, everyone in the organization except for chief chén knew about qian de's role.
qian de played a crucial part in bringing li jian-qiang and lin xiang ping together and convincing him to have a child. without his intervention, xiang-ying would not exist. ryo was also good friends with qian de and they would often hang out drinking when he was in japan.
ryo claims that he learned all of his bad habits from qian de, though it could be the other way around. additionally, li jian-qiang hired ryo to rescue him from the jungles of cambodia 22 years before qian de's death.
