Van Helsing knew the Delacroix vampire family and used to train the young Delacroix II in sword-fighting. One day, he was ordered by Finis, the leader of Tasogare, to kill Delacroix I, and Finis threatened to kill Van Helsings family if he refused to obey. However, even after he carried out his duty and hunted down the Delacroix family, he went home to find that Finis had already murdered his family. He now seeks revenge against Finis.
