Ryo is a first year student at Karakura High School who excels in both track & field and martial arts. She can run 100 meters in just 12 seconds, making her one of the fastest students in her grade. Ryo is also an avid reader and has a high IQ, which makes her stand out among her peers. Despite being envious of Orihime Inoue, she works hard to surpass her and strives for excellence. Ryo ranks second in her class on the school exams at Karakura High School, demonstrating her academic prowess. She is known for being somewhat cold and snobby, showing little concern for others' well-being. For example, after Uryū Ishida was injured in his fight with a Menos Grande, she said to herself that she would rather walk alone than be with Michiru and Chizuru. Ryo also has a tendency to step on people, calling them "filthy stuffed animals," and almost never makes eye contact when speaking with others. Despite her aloof demeanor, Ryo has only been shown smiling twice - once when she was competing in track & field and once when she was reading a book. Overall, Ryo is an intelligent and talented student who values hard work and excellence above all else.
