Nova  

Introducing Nova, daughter of Lady Debonair and an anime-only villainess in "The Vision of Escaflowne." She has a slender form with pink hair and elfin ears, similar to the three heroines. Throughout the series, she appears unstable, switching between expressing affection and issuing death threats rapidly. Hints about her bond with Hikaru escalate until it's revealed in the second season that Nova is actually a reflection of Hikaru's heart. Hikaru couldn't cope with killing Princess Emaurade, leading to the creation of Nova. With Umi and Fuu departing immediately after, Nova was left behind in Cephiro. Despite searching relentlessly for Hikaru, she could not find her. Then Lady Debonair stepped in, offering to treat her as her own daughter. Debonair told Nova that Hikaru would be content if she died with those she loved, prompting Nova to "hate" everyone Hikaru cared about. This stemmed from Hikaru's self-hatred for killing the Princess, leading to Nova loving Hikaru. In the end of the series, Nova returns to Hikaru's heart. She was named after the Chevrolet Nova and was created by Toshihiro Hirano, originally as a character from an unrealized anime.
