In Providence's world, there is an AI weapon known as Zephiris, which was created during the Genesis Wars and belongs to the category of Dragoons. It is the last functioning Dragoon in this universe. At the beginning of the series, Zephiris appears out of nowhere and instructs Pacifica to tell Gloria (another Dragoon who had been pursuing Pacifica as a giant frog) to rest. Later on, it becomes clear that Zephiris has her own agenda beyond simply providing information about assassins trying to kill Pacifica.
