Zess was an exceptional pilot at military school in Athens. Known for his strict adherence to rules, he earned the nickname "Straight-Laced Zess." When he discovered that his nation planned to invade Krisna, he led a small team of mechs on a secret mission to capture Hodr and secure a quick surrender. However, unbeknownst to him, Athens' leaders had a darker plan: they intended to execute the royal family upon victory. Zess was married with a two-year-old daughter.
