Toshihiko  

Toshihiko is one of the children at Yomogi Nursery School, where Kobato works. In the anime's second episode, Kobato helps him. At first, Toshihiko was sad because his mother worked late and left him alone, and people talked negatively about her. However, Kobato reassured him that his mother was a good person, which was all he needed to hear at that moment. This healing of Toshihiko's heart is considered Kobato's second "kompeito," or the colored candies that fill her bottle.
