Toby, トビオ

Toby had the ambition of entering his Pokemon in a musical performance in Nimbasa City. On his way there, he encountered Ash and his companions. He believed that taking part in the Pokémon Performance Competition would aid him in preparing for the musical. His ultimate goal was to make the Maractus Trio famous and bring back musicals to his hometown. Toby came up with a performance for the Maractus Trio, titled "Over the Rainbow." Although Marra and Racca executed their parts well, Tussy struggled, causing the group to repeatedly fall to the ground. Later, Toby had a Triple Battle with Ash to help Tussy enhance its abilities, but it proved ineffective. Toby attempted again, but Tussy still failed to perform his part correctly and caused the group to crash once more. Frustrated by Tussy's repeated failures, Toby shouted at it, causing it to flee. He and Ash later discovered that Tussy was being attacked by a wild Scolipede. Toby leaped in front of Tussy and instructed him to run, but Tussy refused to listen. Instead, Tussy mounted the Scolipede to distract it from Toby, eventually jumping off and being captured by Marra and Racca on their arms. Afterward, Toby apologized to Tussy for becoming angry before they all rushed to the Pokémon Performance contest, which was already underway. To everyone's surprise, the Maractus Trio executed "Over the Rainbow" flawlessly without any issues.
