Bel is one of the player character's childhood friends who has clumsy and air-headed personality traits but is a true friend. She often battles with the player during their Pokemon journey. Bel made her debut appearance in "Chillarmy is a Neat Freak!?," where she was sent by Professor Araragi to deliver a badge case to Ash, resulting in an unfortunate incident as she knocked Ash and Dent into a nearby stream due to her clumsiness. Despite being older than Ash, Bel started her journey recently because of her father not allowing her to become a trainer when she turned ten. Her original name "Bel" means "white" in Slavic while her English name "Bianca" means "white" in Italian.
