Rui Habashira

A student in their third year of high school (Grade 12) who leads the Zokugaku team. Despite being a punk-like character, Habashira is skilled as a linebacker due to his long arms, which allow him to intercept passes and stop runs. Although he often trash talks Shin, this motivates Sena in their game. However, Habashira also shows a more serious side, despite appearing and behaving like a punk. In the anime, even when Kanagushi made an imposter Eyeshield 21 to enrage the Chameleons so that they would fight with Deimon Devil Bats and be disqualified, Habashira remained calm and did not retaliate or allow his teammates to take revenge. Notably, Rui is the only player who has been subjected to a penalty flag in the Eyeshield 21 manga; this was during a flashback, where he reacted poorly to an official throwing him a marker and punched him out.
