    In Season 1 of Ruby, Tooru is Ruby's boyfriend and in Season 2 he becomes Sulfur's Jewelpet partner. He is a gray American Shorthair cat with a green star-shaped necklace who represents adventure. Debuting in Episode 10, Tooru is aristocratic, charismatic, kind, and skilled at somersaults and reflexes. Ruby calls him "Tooru-sama" when they first meet and sometimes goes crazy around him. In Jewelpet Tinkle, he reappears as Sulfur's partner and saves Ruby from drowning in one episode. His name is derived from the gemstone Tourmaline.
