One of Sawakos classmates is easily influenced by others and tends to remain in the background during interactions. Jounouchi has a strong attachment to Kazehaya, which often leads him to unintentionally interrupt conversations between Sawako and Kazehaya. At one point, after expressing his feelings for a girl he admired, Jounouchi is rejected. He finds comfort in the presence of Kazehaya during this difficult time.
