The narrator typically provides information about Satoshi and his companions' activities or location at the start and end of each episode. They may also recap the previous episode's events. At the conclusion of an episode, the narrator shares what Satoshi and his group learned or their plans for future episodes. In films, the narrator is only heard at the beginning to give a summary of the Pokémon world.
