The hamster you're referring to is known as Boss. Unlike other animals, Boss doesn't have an owner. Instead, he takes charge of things on his own accord. He's quite affectionate towards Bijou and frequently tries to win her favor. Despite his gruff exterior, Boss has a kind heart.
