Kazuya Ayanokōji was the eldest son of his family and a gifted individual who collaborated with his grandfather on research to create Absolute Angels. Despite this, Kyōshirō believes that he made the ultimate sacrifice in an attempt to prevent a catastrophe ten years prior to the story's main timeline. On the other hand, Sōjirō asserts that Kazuya was foolish despite his positive qualities. Mika has also added her own perspective by stating that Kazuya was ruthless and cunning behind his charming demeanor and unbeatable record in challenges. Kyōshirō looks up to him and tries to imitate him, but Sōjirō advises against it and Mikas hatred for him intensifies as a result. In terms of appearance, Kazuya resembles the prince from Kūs dreams more closely than Kyōshirō does; his dreams of the prince were actually memories of the time he spent in the lab being developed by himself and other scientists.
