John, Pochi, Raika, ライカ

A werewolf who has lived for a long time, named Raika in the English subs, had witnessed the deaths of all his kin and was left to live in isolation among their bones. He first appeared in Volume 3, Payment 18, when the main characters visited him at a hot springs location. The main characters tamed him with mysterious powers, took him back to the city, and eventually sent him to Z-Loan for training purposes. Raika wished to become stronger so he could protect Shimotsuki. He began attending school alongside Michiru, Chika, and Shito, learning human speech but possessing limited knowledge due to his short sentences and occasional wolf growls. Despite this, Raika allowed Michiru to pat him on the head, bit people he disliked or felt were treating him like an animal, and displayed a protective stance towards Shimotsuki. Prior to being named Raika, he was referred to as "Pochi" and "John" by Chika and Shito, while Shito described him as always being alone, similar to himself.
