Ryoko is a boy from Shin Village in East Asia who encountered Black Star while searching for Masamune with Tsubaki. It seems that his village has had past dealings with the Star Clan, as he recognized the tattoo on Black Stars arm. Initially, Ryoku believed Black Star to be part of the Star Clan and offered him money to leave. However, after realizing his fear and inadequacy allowed him to be possessed by Masamune, Ryoko came to understand that Black Star was not a member of the Star Clan. Despite this revelation, he did not change his feelings towards Black Star.
