Daichi is an intelligent duelist who uses complex math to win his battles. He scored highly in entrance exams and now lives in the Ra Yellow dorm. He employs various deck combinations during his duels. In the anime, Daichi possesses six decks each based on different attributes (Fire, Wind, Earth, Water, Light & Dark). In the second year, he combines all these decks into one. Meanwhile, in the manga, Bastion utilizes a "Yokai" deck. Lastly, in the manga, Daichi harbors feelings for Asuka Tenjouin.
