Chie Harada is a classmate of Mai Tokiha who sits directly behind her and Yuuichi Tate. On Mai's first day, she offers her friendship to her by playfully poking her sides. She frequently uses her cell phone camera to give interviews and search for gossip around the school, which leads to a running gag about her character. Chie and Aoi Senou appear in an omake as super deformed versions of themselves, classifying Mai as being in the "Biggest Breast Ranking". After the events of the HiME festival become dangerous enough for Fuuka students to be dismissed, Chie and Aoi reluctantly leave Mai behind. However, Mai insists she can handle herself. In the end, they return and are last seen at a picnic with the resurrected HiME.
