The third pilot, known as Bear's controller, is a young man with an intense temperament. He leads his Judo team and possesses remarkable physical strength despite being short and overweight. Although he doesn't meet the necessary qualifications to operate Getter Robo due to failing both physical and mental tests, his unwavering determination and hot-blooded spirit make him a valuable member of the team. His comical clumsiness adds humor to the original series, while his portrayal in the 1970s anime closely resembles the manga's version.
