Matias' covenant spirit, Managa, is described as a large figure dressed entirely in black with bear-like eyes. When paired with Matia, they resemble a father and daughter duo. Despite his intimidating appearance, Managa is actually quite gentle. He possesses three wings, which is not typical, and his wings appear torn and battered. In the White series timeline, he appears younger with six black wings adorned in gold. Corti, an old spirit, has previously encountered him but they fail to recognize each other when they meet again due to their different forms. Managa, also known as the Black Beast, is tasked with safeguarding the black goddess.
