A 17-year-old high school student named Takeya is the main character in DearS. Although he's initially hesitant to accept the alien girl Ren due to his lack of experience with change, his kind nature eventually prevails. Despite appearing uninterested, Takeya has a good heart and often rushes into situations without fully considering their consequences. He tends to worry more about problems than solving them, which may explain why he doesn't have many close friends. Additionally, Takeya is prone to losing his temper, although this behavior might be less frequent with time.
