James is the new bottom of Ginga's team. He is small but has big courage. He follows Ginga everywhere and challenges him constantly, losing almost every time. Despite this, he and Ginga often argue over silly things like each other's bravery or lack thereof. Eventually, they will join forces with Yuu and Tsubasa to represent Japan in the Big Bang Bladers tournament. James had previously been unable to participate due to certain restrictions. He loves a spicy orange-shaped food that others regret eating once their mouth burns. Despite this, he seems used to the taste. Ray Unicorno, James' beyblade, can seemingly teleport by transforming into green light rays and reappearing elsewhere in the stadium. In battles and practice, James never gives up and works harder towards his goal of defeating Ginga. He challenges him relentlessly until he finally wins. However, after Ginga becomes better at controlling Galaxy Pegasis, James rejects Ginga's offer for a rematch because he sees how powerful the others' beyblades are.
