Minoru Tatsukawa  

Minoru, along with Tetsu, is a member of Kumikos Yakuza group and one of her loyal followers. He watches over Kumiko and worries about her. Occasionally, he and Tetsu run a takoyaki stand near Kumikos school to be close to her if needed. Although their enthusiasm in serving her almost reveals her secret, they only want to help. Kumiko took him in when he was a teen as she did not accept underage kids in the family, and he had nowhere else to go.
