Dr. Taylor's colleague and Rex's adoptive father discovers Rex as an infant at The American Museum of Natural History and decides to give him a more typical family environment by sending him to live with the Taylors. He also searches for a romantic partner, Ursula, in order to provide his adopted son with a mother. In season two, he continues to be present alongside Reece, Laura, and Rod. Despite this, Ursula ultimately rejects his proposal at the end of Pterosaur Legends.
