Ryouta Sakamoto is a young man in his twenties who plays Btooom!, one of Japan's most popular games. He ranks among the top players worldwide and has been invited to participate in the real-life version of the game. In terms of appearance, he stands at an average height and weight with black hair and brown eyes. His attire consists of a dark gray shirt, regular pants, and a black belt. As all Btooom! participants have an IC chip implanted into their left hand, Ryouta also has one. Later in the story, he wears a long-sleeved shirt with a blue circle design that reads "Btooom!" and "Soldiers, be ambitious." This can be seen on the cover of Btooom! 06.
