Noda is an independent young man who follows the plans created by SSS and uses a halberd for combat. He only pays attention to Yuri, whom he deeply admires, while being hostile towards almost everyone else. His relationship with Otonashi is competitive. Despite his lack of intelligence in education, Noda isn't afraid to harm or kill anyone who stands between Yuris path.

He appears to have a crush on Yuri because he is always trying to impress her, and even has a photograph of her to carry around.
