Clare, the main character in the series, starts off as the lowest-ranked claymore in the organization's 78th generation. Despite this, she is the first person to willingly become a claymore. Her motivation for joining the organization stems from her desire for revenge against an awakened being named Priscilla. Additionally, Clare takes Raki under her care because he reminds her of herself when she was younger.
