In Nippon Ichis Makai Senki Disgaia/Disgaea Hour of Darkness, Makai Senki Disgaia 2, and Makai/Phantom Kingdom, Prinnies are fictional creatures that can be created as characters. These penguin-like beings have the ability to attack hand-to-hand with enemies and explode upon impact when thrown. If other Prinnies are nearby, a chain reaction occurs. The backstory of Prinnies is that they represent individuals who were deemed "worthless" during their lifetime and must work in either the Netherworld or Celestia after death to atone for their actions. There are various types of Prinnies, including Captain Prinnies, Prinny Kings, and unique versions of characters from the story.
