In Seidou High School's first year, Eijun and Kanemaru were classmates. Kanemaru lived in the dorms and shared a room with Chris. Initially, Kanemaru did not like Eijun because he believed that Eijun could only talk big. However, as time went on, Kanemaru came to recognize Eijun's abilities and declared him as the representative of the first years along with himself in the first string team.
