Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, came into existence during a rare celestial event when multiple planets aligned. Despite not resembling him at all, the man who believed he was Quills father accused his wife Meredith of infidelity and tried to murder the newborn infant. Unfortunately, the father passed away from a sudden heart attack before being able to carry out his plan. As a result, Peter was raised by his single mother, Meredith.
