Chihiro is a reserved and gloomy 10-year-old girl who, along with her family, is relocating to a new town. During the journey, her father mistakenly takes a wrong turn, leading them near what he believes to be an abandoned amusement park. In reality, it's a nighttime bathhouse for spirits. Her parents are transformed into pigs after consuming the food of these supernatural beings. Fearing for her safety, Chihiro tries to escape but is advised by Haku to work for Yubaba until she can find a way to restore her parents to their human form.
