Jyabura leads a team consisting of himself, Fukurou, and Kumadori. He possesses the Devil Fruit Inu Inu no Mi Model Wolf (Dog Dog Fruit, Model), which he believes gives him a strong rivalry with Rob Lucci. Despite his competitive nature, Jyabura gets upset when someone surpasses him, such as when he learned that Kaku had become stronger than him. He is also superstitious and believes that two Devil Fruit users who get too close to each other's fruits will have their bodies explode. While fighting, Jyabura tries to deceive his opponents to catch them off guard. Initially, Jyabura chooses to fight with Sogeking but after Sanji appears and saves him from being killed, a fight between Sanji and Jyabura ensues. During this fight, Sanji defeats Jyabura using Diable Jambe, which breaks through his Tekkai. Jyabura is the only member of his team who has mastered Tekkai Kempo, a technique that allows him to use martial arts while wearing Tekkai.
