The Ramrod Equalizer Unit had a captain named Saber Rider, who was known for being legendary due to his exceptional skills and marksmanship. Despite being young, he originated from the Scottish Highlands and excelled in using both swords and horses. He was often depicted as a gentleman with excellent tactical abilities and decision-making skills. Saber Rider frequently rode a robotic horse named Steed, which had powerful thrusters that allowed it to fly, run, and operate in space. Although capable of short-distance space travel, Steed was mainly used for traveling down from orbit or functioning on planet surfaces. Steed possessed almost sentient qualities as Saber once joked about giving him a sugar cube. He could recognize his master's voice and work independently when necessary to protect Saber.
