Kouga's mother left home after being scolded for secret volunteer work. She ran away while continuing her work and never returned. Despite not officially divorcing Seizou, they are no longer together. It is later discovered that she has been staying with her lover, Suzuki. Konoha and her mother were kidnapped by Seiji and Suzuki, who revealed that Seizou funded human experiments on his wife and son, Katou. Amagi Tower was then destroyed in the chaos, but she was saved by Suzuki from falling into an inferno.
