A 16-year-old girl, named Midori, develops a crush on Seiji that lasts for three years. She becomes so desperate to be near him that she shrinks down to the size of his right hand. This causes problems for him because it's the "Devil's right hand" he uses to punch things. Meanwhile, Midori's body is in a coma and her mother tries everything to bring her back to life. When Midori wakes up on Seiji's hand, she musters the courage to confess her love for him, even though it's not reciprocated. Throughout the series, Midori continues to express her feelings for Seiji, becoming jealous of other girls he interacts with and trying to compete with them. As time goes by, she begins to appreciate qualities in all of the characters. Initially shy, Midori lightens up as she gets to know people better. Despite this, she occasionally wakes up from her coma and feels lonely when Seiji's right hand reappears. While appearing carefree and fun-loving on the surface, Midori hides her jealousy towards other girls and her determination to win Seiji's heart well.
