The main character of the show is Dr. Sabro Gohno, who initially works at St. Juliana Hospital. He has a stern appearance due to his height and lecherous behavior, but he is also skilled in gynecology. Despite being somewhat crude, it's unclear if his actions are driven by compulsive love/hate for women or something else. In the first series of the show, Dr. Gohno dies violently in a bloody scene that sets the tone for the rest of the episode. However, this death is later shown to be staged and he actually survives, only to be killed by Ren Nanase in the second series. In the second season, his death is omitted entirely as he is portrayed alive but bound to a wheelchair.
