The Phantom Vandel, also known as Shaggy, is the Chief of the Dark House of Sorcery and Director of the Vandel Hotel. Despite appearing happy most of the time, there is a hint of evil lurking beneath his surface. His true purpose remains unknown, as he serves neither elegance nor Beltorze. Instead, he communicates with the "Eyes of Darkness," the creator of the Vandels, in a secret room. Shaggy has the ability to create doors that lead from one place to another and answers to the Eyes of Darkness. His true power is unknown, but filler anime suggest that he possesses superior combat abilities, easily evading attacks from vandel Vaus.
