Isamu Aldini is one of Tootsuki Culinary Academy's students and a twin brother to Takumi Aldini. His extensive experience in cooking during his childhood has made him an exceptional chef at Trattoria Aldini, the family restaurant in Italy. Unlike his hot-tempered brother who seeks challenges, Isamu is known for his gentle and passionate personality which makes him approachable to everyone around him, including rivals like Souma and Megumi. Despite their rivalry, Isamu's friendship with them has grown stronger over time. He gains weight during the summer but loses it in both fall and spring.
