At TERRA, Souichi Yakumo holds a Major rank and serves as second-in-command under Kunugi. When Kunugi is absent, Souichi often takes charge. Although Ayato is a Mulian, Souichi views him as an individual regardless of his status. He treats everyone with kindness and friendliness, which Megumi misinterprets as a potential romantic interest. However, Souichi remains oblivious to her feelings and starts seeing Kim instead. Despite being soft-spoken and approachable, Souichi is also an effective leader. In the movie adaptation, he holds the same position but appears more knowledgeable about TERRA's inner workings. Unfortunately, his character does not appear in the manga series.
