In episode 14 of season 1, we are introduced to a man named Nomiya, who is portrayed as someone who doesn't care about anything, including women's phone numbers. Mayama described him as the type of person who could throw away his cellphone with all those contacts without any concern. Nomiya used to work for Fujiwara Design, where Mayama was his boss. He also has feelings for Yamada and tries to visit her whenever he can, despite being aware of her feelings for Mayama. Mayama acts as a mediator between Yamada and Nomiya in order to protect Yamada from getting hurt by Nomiya's playboy ways. However, later on in the series, Nomiya realizes that he has fallen deeply in love with Yamada.
