The Foreign Affairs Section 4's Chief Investigator, Misaki, has long brown hair and glasses, rarely smiles or laughs, and possesses a strong sense of justice and sharp intuition. Kirihara is a policewoman who became one to protect the weak. She dislikes smokers due to their odor and is sensitive about her body's exposure. Despite claiming to eat greasy food, she stays fit by constantly moving around in her job as part of the National Police Agency, where her father, Superintendent Naoyasu Kirihara, serves as a supervisor.
