Red-eye Zelman is an ancient vampire who was born in Poland on April 1st. He carries the flame of the gods and is known as a legend from the Dark Ages. He has many titles, including the ancient dark hunter, follower of the Fire God, red-eyed murderer, prince with blood-colored eyes, and ruler of the Special Zone. Zelman comes from an illustrious lineage that links to Asura, a great warrior, and is one of the last members of that bloodline. He inherited the special blood of War God Asura, which gives him the power called Eye Ignite, allowing him to create and control fire. Zelman has a charismatic personality but lacks morality and is a sociopath. Despite his strong emotions and hatred, he values freedom above all else and lives according to his existence as a vampire. He taught Kotaro that a vampire's fate revolves around blood and nothing else. Before confronting Jiro, Zelman was able to hide his anticipation and keep it under control. He is the only leader of the non-officially-sanctioned group called The Coven who willingly accepted Jiro and his brother into the Special Zone due to their personalities. Zelman's lifespan of 800 years has made him the only one left of his kind, as he had to prove his bloodline through a fight.
