Red Alert, also known as Ratchet, was once a fierce warrior. However, after being seriously wounded in battle and losing his hand permanently, he became more emotionally detached and reluctant to fight. Despite this, when one of his fellow Cybertron (Autobot) companions needs immediate medical attention on the battlefield, he will not hesitate to provide assistance. Ratchet is a brilliant medic and scientist who is extremely cautious. His nominal micron (Mini-Con) partner is Hook (Longarm), but during the search for Cyber Planet Keys, Drift (Dirt Boss) accompanied him on Speedia (Velocitron).
