At Riki's school, Endou serves as both a teacher and an advisor for the kendo club and public morals committee. He has a reputation for being quite strict and doesn't hesitate to discipline students who disobey his rules.

In the anime he tried to prevent Miyuki Koshiki from commiting suicide on the roof; but when he tries to come closer to her she falls from the roof and Kengo saves her. Because of this he prohibited Kengo from participating with all kendo club activities for one semester, which causes Kengo to join the Little Busters! baseball team.
