Genzou is both a professional wrestler and an animal lover, often accompanied by his small dog, Hiroyuki. The mere mention of harming animals causes him great distress, and anyone who voices such thoughts quickly regrets it. When summoned to Princess Altena's world, Genzou refuses to comply with her demand to eliminate beasts and instead decides to open a pet shop (in a world that does not have pets) and save as many animals as he can from abuse or death. However, this proves more challenging than expected, as Genzou tends to pick up large and dangerous animals without considering the cost of food. This source of frustration for Shigure, who manages the household finances.
